HoneyMe Bakery & Cafe ("HoneyMe", "we") is a small family bakery in Bellevue, Washington. This page explains what information we collect when you order from us, book a class, or get in touch, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, when you place an order, submit an inquiry or catering form, or book a workshop.
- Order details — what you ordered, pickup or delivery date and time, delivery address if applicable, cake messages, allergy notes, and any reference photos or design notes you send us.
- Messages — emails and text messages you exchange with us about your order.
- Payment — payments are processed by Square. We see the order total, payment status and the last digits of a card as shown in Square; we never receive or store full card numbers.
How we use it
- To prepare and fulfill your order, class booking or event.
- To send you order confirmations, pickup or delivery reminders, replies to your inquiries, and balance or schedule updates. These messages are about your order only.
- To keep a record of past orders so we can help with reorders, questions and refunds.
We do not send newsletters or marketing emails, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with advertisers.
Who else handles your data
We use a few service providers to run the bakery, each only for the purpose described:
- Square — point of sale, online checkout and payment processing.
- Google — our email accounts; order confirmations and replies are sent from and received in our Gmail mailboxes. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements; we only use these permissions to send email from our own bakery account.
- Cloudflare — hosting for this website.
- Supabase — the database and file storage behind our order system (order records and the photos you send us).
How long we keep it
Order records and the messages attached to them are kept as part of our business records. Reference photos are kept with the order they belong to. If you would like your contact details or photos removed after your order is complete, email us and we will delete them where we are not required to keep them for accounting.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or call the shop.
Children
Our website and ordering are intended for adults. Kids' classes and birthday cakes are booked by a parent or guardian, and we only collect the booking adult's contact details.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
